About the event
Alhambra Irish House was a theatre and saloon when it first opened in 1896.
Wyatt Earp, the legendary outlaw and deputy, would frequent the saloon. The Prohibition Act forced the saloon to close its doors in 1920 and it transformed to a meeting place for various groups including a branch of the fraternal Freemasonry organization. The Alhambra continued to serve as an alcohol-free meeting place until the 1950s.
In the early 2000s the roof caught fire. Smoke marks from the fire’s flames were left untouched on the brick walls near the back ceiling at Alhambra Irish House and the original columns from the turn-of-the-century remain in hope to give guests a sense of the rich history of the building.
The Saltines are honored to be playing at such a historic venue, and hope you join us!
